SepNo such thing as ‘constructive criticism’
Why are we so critical of others?
Didn’t Christ say “Judge not, that ye be not judged”? Of course, in Matt. 7, he did not finish the statement with a question mark. He made a statement.
Be truthful: when you look at a controversial FB status, what do you think? You immediately judge that person based on that one statement. Come on. We all do it. I do it, you do it, everyone does it. Who are we kidding? Who are we to say that person is immoral, or he/she is in the “right” way of thinking? During discussions, I often hear “Well, we’re all entitled to our own opinions”. But are we really? I mean who are we!? WHO. Are. We? We all think that our opinion is the “right” opinion. I have many friends (yes, TRUE friends) who are of many different religious affiliations, orientations, races, political affiliations. I am proud to call each of them my friend.
We’re told to keep an open mind, not to judge—but at the same time—surround ourselves with “good” people. In order to surround ourselves with “good people,” we have to judge them, according to our own beliefs and opinions. How hypocritical is that? Not to mention, how boring our life would be if we all agreed on the same morals, beliefs, and opinions?
There are so many areas that this can be applied. I’M A DEMOCRAT. Whooop-ti-dooo. I’m sure that leaves a bad taste in some people’s mouths. I’M BAPTIST. Woooooo. Some may call me a hypocrite for writing this note, then saying that I’m religious. I’m so sick and tired of being judged! I can never get away from it! Neither can you! No matter what you say, do, think, someone will always be judging you and drawing conclusions. I HAVE GAY/LESBIAN FRIENDS. Some of them I am so close to, they are like my family. As Christ said about gays and lesbians, “ “. SHOW ME where Christ condemns these people. And if we are to believe what’s in the Old Testament, (yes, I went there!), We can’t eat pork. All women are to be in seclusion for the week following their menstrual period. Men must have sideburns (oh my!). If one gets acne, that person is contagious and must be examined by a priest. Oh, and slavery? That’s great! And racism? That’s ‘in’ too!!
I think you get my point.
JUDGE NOT THAT YE BE NOT JUDGED.

SepWhat’s more important?
I am so mad right now… I really want to fight with a few of my friends over my beliefs. Is it worth losing some friends that I KNOW I’ll lose? Should I continue to put on this facade that I am Switzerland? I have been staying extremely neutral… not posting things for or against this cause—-but I really want to stop… put my foot down… and speak my mind and stand up for what I believe in! In general terms, I really should do it—and I know I should. But this subject is so sensitive among SO many of my friends. …. and I have a business reputation to think about. I am the face of LMKdesign.org… and if I piss some people off, I piss those customers off. So I need to stay neutral.
Ugh … this is so frustrating!

I am an 19 y/o female. I consider a happy environment to be around my family and friends (usually at a horse show). I show paints nationally, my current show horse is named Sheik Sock Broker; you will often hear him referred to as "Chaps".
I am currently in college pursuing degrees in Dental Hygeine and Graphic Design
I have Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic lung disease. I don't make a big deal about it, it's just something I have to live with. I do treatments multiple times a day, and take way too many pills. My goal in life is to be known as "the girl who showed great horses", and not "the girl who had CF". I have CF. CF does not have me.
